Pluralsight App Dev Interns
Move Your Business Forward
In partnership with Pluralsight Professional Services, Year Up’s Application Development & Support curriculum provides interns with fundamental skills in software development along with professional skills.
Participants have completed approximately 450 hours of practice and bring the following skills to apply on-the-job:
- Understand the software development life cycle, with a focus on Agile best practices
- Create web sites using HTML, CSS and Bootstrap
- Add behavior to web sites using JavaScript
- Make calls to REST APIs using AJAX
- Utilize Git/GitHub for version control
- Craft solutions in JavaScript, Java and Python to common programming problems
OUR JOB-READY INTERNS:
- Work in an agile software team to develop and release a product in increments, navigating multilayer problem solving
- Work with clients and development teams to build technical requirements for a software request or user story
- Update, fix, and write simple code that meets software specifications and passes code reviews
- Assist with debugging, testing, and releasing features and bug fixes to production

Wage-Based Internship Details
- Internship assignments are 26 weeks in duration.
- Interns learn on-the-job up to 36 hours per week + 1 hour of paid Professional Development with YUPRO Placement each Wednesday, for a total of 37 paid hours per week.
- Flexible internship start dates align with partner needs with cohorts ready-to-work on the following dates:
August 14, August 21, August 28, September 11
Pricing Model
Rates through December 2023 includes $2,500 program fee, intern hourly wage, health benefits, high-touch coaching, social supports, and employer-driven upskilling pathways.
